What does a trading readiness check measure?

This is not a medical or psychological diagnosis; it is a pre-trade process check. Poor sleep, revenge intent, chasing price or a missing stop can be recorded as execution warnings before entry.

Logic / formula

Hard blockers can force STOP; combinations of behavioral warnings can raise CAUTION.

Read the output

Treat the reasons behind warnings as more important than the color or score.

Logic, formula and methodology

This is not a medical or psychological diagnosis; it is a pre-trade process check. Poor sleep, revenge intent, chasing price or a missing stop can be recorded as execution warnings before entry. Hard blockers can force STOP; combinations of behavioral warnings can raise CAUTION.

Pre-trade psychological and process check-in using sleep, stress, energy, focus, trade count, daily loss stop, planned risk, setup completeness, stop, size, news, post-loss break, FOMO, chasing, revenge, stop-moving, and overtrading urges. Outputs include READY, CAUTION, or STOP; mandatory blockers; corrective actions; psychology, physical, process, and risk dimensions; local daily history; average score, blocker frequency, seven-record trend, and ready streak.

Worked example

Example
Poor sleep and revenge intent remain serious warnings even with a complete setup
Low sleep and a revenge urge can produce caution or stop even when the setup is complete, depending on the personal policy.

How to read the result

The output reflects process quality, not a certain trade result. A warning means something should be corrected before proceeding.

Do not treat green or READY as permission to enter. Historical trends are more useful for spotting recurring triggers—for example overtrading after a loss—than a single score. Intervention cards should suggest short process actions, not clinical treatment.

Common mistakes and limitations

  • Using the tool after entry
  • Changing answers to obtain a preferred result
  • Ignoring plan limits
  • Inputs are self-reported and can be biased. The tool is not mental-health diagnosis or treatment and does not predict trade performance.

Frequently asked questions

Why track sleep?

It is recorded as a personal readiness variable so you can review whether it co-occurs with your own mistakes; the tool does not claim a universal causal effect.

Does green mean I should trade?

No. It only means the configured blockers were not detected in the check-in.

How should I record revenge trading?

As an urge to recover a prior loss quickly, ideally before the next entry rather than after the outcome is known.
